Frequently Asked Questions

How is the limit for members in my organization calculated, and how can I increase it?

With our free plan, your organization can host up to 9 members across 3 projects (you get 3 members per project added to your total). To expand beyond this, upgrading to a paid plan like the Growth Plan adds 12 more members to your organization. Upgrading not only increases the limit for a specific project but also raises the overall member capacity for your entire organization. In this example with a single growth plan you can have up to 30 members overall within 3 free projects and 1 growth plan project.

Can I try out caisy for free without a credit card? (Free plan)

Yes, our free plan is the perfect way to get started with caisy without committing to a paid plan. And the best part? No credit card is required! Simply create an account and you'll be able to start creating and managing your content right away. The sign-up process is quick and easy, so you can get started on your project in just a few clicks.

What payment options do you offer? (Pricing and billing)

We offer credit card payments for all of our plans, processed through Stripe. For Enterprise tier customers in the European Union, we offer the option of SEPA bank transfers. Enterprise tier customers outside of the European Union do not have the option of bank transfers.

Is there a limit on the number of requests that can be made to the content APIs? (API usage and limits)

Requests to the content APIs that retrieve data from the cache are not rate limited. Requests that fetch content from the database are rate limited by default, depending on your pricing tier:

  • Free Plan: 5 requests per second

  • Starter: 10 requests per second

  • Growth: 35 requests per second

  • Professional: 50 per second

  • Enterprise: 50 or more requests per second

If you need to make more requests than the default limit allows, you can request a custom plan that includes a higher rate limit. Please contact our sales team for more information.

What are content entries in caisy? (Pricing and limits)

Content entries refer to the total number of documents, web pages, or other types of content that you have created within caisy. Each time you create a new document, web page, or other type of content, it is counted as a content entry. This count includes all types of content, such as documents, components, and assets.

What are assets in caisy? (DAM and CDN)

In caisy, assets are digital files such as images, PDFs, videos, zip files, and other file types that are stored and managed within our platform. These files can be used on your website or in other projects, and are stored in our digital asset management (DAM) system when uploaded. To ensure fast and reliable access, we use a content delivery network (CDN) to serve these assets.

What is the difference between documents and components in caisy? (Content types and limitations)

In caisy, documents are typically used to store and manage larger, standalone pieces of content such as articles, blog posts, or webpages. These documents can include a mix of text, images, and other media elements, and are often structured as rich-text documents. Components, on the other hand, are smaller, reusable blocks of content that can be combined and assembled to create more complex layouts or designs. Examples of components might include a pricing section, a FAQs section, a statistics section, a blog section, a team section, or a form that can be embedded on a page to collect user input.

What are blueprints in caisy? (Data model and templates)

In caisy, blueprints are the underlying data models that define the structure and content of documents and components. A blueprint consists of a set of fields that can be clicked together inside the caisy UI, such as:

  • Rich text fields

  • Select fields

  • Reference fields

  • Color picker fields

  • etc.

Blueprints allow users to create custom templates or models for different types of content, and to define the specific types of data or information that each blueprint will store and manage. For example, a document blueprint might include fields for a title, body of text, and image, while a component blueprint might include fields for a title, subtitle, and list of items.

By using blueprints, users can create flexible and reusable content models that can be used to quickly and easily create and manage content in caisy.
